A belated hello and welcome to my new followers!  First off, thank you.

Secondly, I would like to know about you!  Except I don’t know which questions to ask without sounding a) hackneyed (which seems unavoidable if you’re a human) or b) as if I’m judging you.  So I’m going to list some things that I like, and I hope you’ll respond with things that you like, or possibly by telling me what your favorite butterfly/winged creature is because:

1.  I’m an actor

2.  I’m opening a show tonight

3.  My stomach (though shortly it will contain a cupcake) is all a-flutter with all sorts of flying fauna (Are insects fauna?) and I would like to image what (or who) in particular, is in there.

4.  Sometimes I wish I were a dog, because if I were a dog I wouldn’t be worried about what to do with my life or whether I’m overacting or whether my acting teacher or my therapist will be sitting in the chair that has the most up-close view of my tights-clad bottom (more worried about my therapist), or what I’m going to do about getting internet when I’m in Chicago.  I’d just be really excited about going on walks and eating dinner and chasing squirrels and just getting up in the morning (which, for the record, I think I’d be more excited about if it was, say, just a tad later, or if going to bed happened sooner), and I’d be like “What’s internet? What’s Chicago? Rabbit!”  And maybe I’d chase butterflies sometimes (because our dog, hilarious little thing, actually does this).

5.  Mine is papilio ulysses, which I like mainly because of the name and because it was Henry DeTamble’s butterfly in The Time Traveler’s Wife, and more because of how he talks about holding it so close to his face that all he saw was blue, because I remember doing this when I was little (with other things, not specifically with papilio ulysses).

I think five is a good number, and I’m going to stop there.  I’m going to go have surprise cupcakes now.
